There's a simpler way to handle weeknight dinners under 30 minutes than most people make it. It comes down to a couple of habits and a bit of patience.
Make the default the good choice. Set things up so the easy path and the right path are the same one.
Remove as much friction as you can. The easier you make it, the less you'll rely on willpower to follow through.
Be specific about when and where. A vague "later" rarely happens; "right after breakfast, at the kitchen table" usually does.
Consistency beats intensity. A modest amount of effort, repeated, will outperform a burst of motivation that fizzles by Thursday.
Don't aim for a perfect system on day one. Pick a single, obvious step, do it a few times, and let the routine grow from there.
A little, often, adds up to a lot.
The first move is almost always the same: shrink the task until it feels almost too easy. With weeknight dinners under 30 minutes, that might mean five minutes a day instead of an hour a week.
